Inspect liftgate for proper alignment. Inspect overslam bumpers (Figure 1) for number of shims. If more than one shim is present, remove
overslam bumper and reinstall using only one shim.

Make necessary adjustments to liftgate and striker so that the gap between "C" (2-door) or "D" (4-door) pillar and liftgate style line edge is
8.4 +/- 2.0 mm (.331" +/- .078") (Figure 2).

NOTE:

MEN LIFTGATE IS LATCHED, THE WEATHER SEAL SHOULD BE COLLAPSED APPROXIMATELY
50%.
