Install the distributor cap and connect the distributor electrical connector.
30.
Install a new harness clip (P), PN 8953 005 253, to hold the stator harness to the engine block as shown.
31.
Install electrical cooling fan and shroud if applicable.
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Replacement
1.
Disconnect the TPS sensor, connector.
2.
Remove retaining screws (R).
3.
Remove the TPS switch.
4.
Position the new TPS switch to the throttle plate assembly.
5.
Install and tighten the retaining screws.
NOTE:
DO NOT disconnect the harness connectors to measure voltage in the following steps. Insert the voltmeter test leads through the back of each
connector to make contact with the indicated wire terminals.

Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
