Cherokee 2WD L6-242 40L VIN M Engine Intermittent Start/Idle Issue
With one hand, grasp the cruise control cable sheathing (21) and let the servo hang down.
With your other hand, grasp cruise control cable connector (13) and pull the connector and wire cable (14) up.
Release connector (13) and let it slide down wire cable (14). The connector should immediately slide down. It should not stop at any point. Also, wire
cable (14) must not be kinked.
Grasp the balled end (22) of wire cable (14) and lift it up. A slight resistance should be felt. Carefully watch the wire cable and release it. It should drop
approximately 1/8" to 1/4".
