Disconnect the vacuum connector on the intake manifold (Figure 2). Lift vacuum connector from the bracket on the intake manifold.
Depress lock tabs and pull vacuum connector apart.

Disconnect all electrical and vacuum connections on the intake manifold.
8.
Release the fuel rail pressure as follows:
a.
Remove and replace fuel tank filler cap to release fuel tank pressure.
b.
Remove cap from pressure test port on fuel rail.
WARNING:
Do not allow fuel to spill on to the engine intake or exhaust manifolds. Place shop towels under pressure port to
absorb fuel when the pressure is released from the fuel rail.
c.
Using a small screwdriver or pin punch, push the test port valve in to relieve fuel pressure. Absorb spilled fuel with shop towels.
d.
Remove shop towels and dispose of properly.
e.
Install cap over pressure port.
9.
Disconnect and remove the fuel supply and return lines from the fuel rail assembly. Remove the fuel line brackets from the intake
manifold.
10.
Remove the fuel rail and injectors.
11.
Remove the radiator fan in front of the powersteering pump.
12.
Loosen the serpentine drive belt tensioner bolt.
13.
Remove the power steering pump and bracket from the intake manifold and set aside.
14.
Remove the intake manifold heatshield.
15.
Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
