1.
Remove air cleaner, then clamp securing air cleaner hose to fender apron.
2.
Position suitable container under master cylinder reservoir, then disconnect reservoir hose from HCU and drain fluid into container.
3.
Disconnect electrical connector from HCU unit.
4.
Mark hydraulic lines. Use marks as a reference when replacing HCU.
5.
Disconnect hydraulic lines from HCU.
6.
Remove HCU attaching nuts and bolt as shown. Then remove HCU unit.
7.
Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a.
Ensure hydraulic lines and hoses are installed properly. Ensure hoses are not kinked and are clear of engine components.
b.
Bleed system, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair.
