SYMPTOM/CONDITION
A door latch linkage binding condition may occur which will make operation of the outside release button and key lock cylinder difficult.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
The door latch mechanism is adjustable as described below.
1.
Remove the hole plug, (if present) from the latch facing of the door.
2.
Insert a 5/32-inch Allen wrench through the access hole and loosen the latch lever adjusting screw (Figure 1).
3.
Press in and release the outer handle button several times to release any binding due to misadjustment.
4.
With the outside handle button released, tighten the latch lever adjusting screw to 25-36 in.lbs. torque.
5.
Test the handle button and lock cylinder for proper operation.
