Idle Speed: Adjustments
Fast Idle Adjustment
1.
Position fast idle speed adjusting screw on high step of fast idle cam, then disconnect and plug EGR vacuum hose.
2.
Start engine and place transmission selector in neutral, with parking brake applied and drive wheel blocked.
3.
Turn fast idle adjusting screw as necessary to obtain the specified fast idle RPM.
4.
After completing adjustment, reconnect EGR vacuum hose.
