EXHAUST PIPE RATTLE
On some 1984-86 Cherokee/Wagoneer models equipped with V-6 engine, the transmission-tocrossmember cushion may sag slightly allowing the exhaust
pipe to contact the crossmember.
If diagnosis indicates the original cushion has sagged, install one of the following replacement cushions.
PROCEDURE
Replace the cushion as described in Chapter BEngines of MR 244. Refer to Rear Engine Mount Removal and Installation.
