Neutral Safety Switch: Application and ID
NEUTRAL START / BACKUP LAMP SWITCH
The neutral starting section of the switch is contained in the center terminal of the three terminal switch. It provides a ground for the starter
solenoid circuit through the gearshift lever in the Park and Neutral positions only.
The two outside terminals of the neutral switch are for the backup lamp switch circuit. Refer to the wiring diagrams at the end of this volume for
the switch circuitry.
