NOTE:
If the intermediate steering shaft will not slip off of the steering gear cross shaft, lightly wedge a screwdriver into slot (R) to slightly spread the
collar. DO NOT overspread the collar.
11.
Slip the other end of the intermediate shaft from the steering column shaft and remove intermediate shaft.
Installation
1.
Slip the end of the intermediate steering shaft (D) over the end of the steering column shaft (E).
NOTE:
Be sure the "flats" (T) that are machined into the end of the steering column shaft (E) and the intermediate shaft (D) are aligned before
installation.
2.
Install collar bolt (L) through hole (U), finger tight.
