CAUTION: Use extreme care when pressing inner bearing onto hub. Bearing carrier should rotate freely after inner bearing is installed. Do not attempt
to eliminate all bearing lash "freeplay" when operating the press. Final preload will be achieved by tightening the drive axle nut (3) (Fig.
2).
NOTE:
On Jeep models, be sure bearing seal is seated squarely in machined surface of bearing carrier.

On Jeep models, install carrier seal using tool 5080.
