1.
Raise and support vehicle and transmission.
2.
Remove rear mount to crossmember retaining nuts (1), Fig. 2, then the crossmember to frame retaining nuts and bolts (2). Remove crossmember
from vehicle.
3.
Remove rear mount to support bracket retaining nuts (4), then the rear mount.
4.
Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a.
On all except 1989-91 models, torque crossmember to frame retaining nuts and bolts to 35 ft. lbs., mount to support bracket retaining nuts
to 30 ft. lbs., and mount to crossmember retaining nuts to 18 ft. lbs.
b.
On 1989-91 models, torque crossmember nuts to 14 ft. lbs. and all bolts to 32 ft. lbs.
