Yoke Seal Replacement
Fig. 23 Adapter/extension housing seals
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Disconnect or remove components necessary to gain access to seal.
3.
On 2WD models, remove seal from adapter housing, Fig. 23.
4.
On 4WD models, remove dust shield and remove seal from extension housing, Fig. 23.
5.
On all models, install new seal with appropriate seal installation tool. On 4WD models, install dust shield.
6.
Install components removed to gain access to seal and top off transmission fluid if necessary.
