Steering Damper: Service and Repair
1. Place front wheels in straight ahead position.
2. Remove cotter pin and retaining nut at center link.
3. Remove steering damper to axle bracket retaining nut and bolt, then the steering damper.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Torque steering damper to axle bracket retaining nut and bolt to 55 ft. lbs. and damper to center link retaining nut to
35 ft. lbs.
