Shift Cable: Adjustments
GEAR SELECTOR SHIFT CABLE LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT - COLUMN SHIFT
1. Place gearshift lever in Park position.
2. Raise the vehicle.
Transmission Shift Control Cable
3. Unlock transmission shift control cable by releasing T-shaped cable adjuster clamp. Release clamp by lifting upward with small screwdriver.
4. Move valve body manual lever rearward into Park detent. Be sure lever is moved rearward was far as possible. Park detent is last rearward detent.
5. Check for positive engagement of park lock by attempting to rotate propeller shaft. Shaft will not rotate if part lock pawl is fully engaged in
governor support.
