Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
Axle Tube Seal & Guard Replace
1. Remove intermediate shaft as previously outlined.
2. Using tool J-34659-5 or equivalent, insert tool through outer end of axle tube, then drive seal and guard into shift motor housing and remove
through access hole.
3. Position new seal and guard into shift motor housing, then using tool J-34659-2 or equivalent, tighten nut and pull seal and guard into position.
4. Install intermediate shaft.
