Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
NOTE: The fuel rail assembly must be removed to service the fuel pressure regulator. Fuel system pressure must be released prior to any service of
fuel injection components.
REMOVAL
Fuel Pressure Regulator
1.
Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the fuel tank filler cap.
2.
Remove the fuel rail assembly.
3.
Remove the fuel pressure regulator mounting screws, and remove the regulator from the fuel rail.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install a new black "O" ring on the fuel pressure regulator, and install the regulator onto the fuel rail assembly. Install and tighten the mounting
nuts securely.
2.
Install the fuel rail assembly.
3.
Connect the negative battery cable and install the fuel tank filler cap.
