Power Steering Pump: Description and Operation
Description
DESCRIPTION
Hydraulic pressure for the power steering system is provided by a belt driven power steering pump (4). The pump shaft has a pressed-on drive pulley (5)
that is belt driven by the crankshaft pulley. The power steering reservoir (1) is mounted to the pump body (4), except if the vehicle has 5.7L or Diesel
engines then it has a remote reservoir mounted to the fan shroud.
