Commander 4WD V8-4.7L Flex Fuel (2009)
5. Using the sequence shown, install the manifold bolts/studs and tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield and tighten the nuts to 8 Nm and then loosen 45° (71 in. Lbs., then loosen 45°).
7. Raise and support the vehicle.
8. Install the bolts and nuts at the right exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly to the exhaust manifold flange and hand tighten bolts and nuts.
9. Position the exhaust pipe for proper clearance with the frame and underbody parts. A minimum clearance of 25.4 mm (1.0 in.) is required.
10. Once properly aligned, tighten the right exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly to exhaust manifold bolts to 26 Nm (19 in. lbs.).
11. Tighten the left front exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly to the exhaust manifold bolts to 26 Nm (19 in. lbs.).
12. Connect the left and right O2 sensor electrical connectors See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Oxygen Sensor/Service
and Repair/Installation
13. Install the right side wheelhouse splash shield See: Body and Frame/Fender/Front Fender/Front Fender Liner/Service and Repair/Splash Shield -
Installation
14. Position the splash shield and install the retaining bolts (1).
15. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
16. Lower the vehicle.
