SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The outside door handle button may be inoperative due to a binding condition in the door latch rods. The operation of the door lock cylinders or keyless
entry system could also be affected by the same condition. The source of the binding condition may be one of the following:

The front and/or rear door latch may be misadjusted causing poor latch operation.
2.
The front door handle-to-latch rod may be bent, preventing the door latch from being properly adjusted.
3.
On vehicles equipped with the Vehicle Theft Security System, the wiring harness for the security alarm switch may be misrouted and interfering
with the latch operation.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This procedure involves adjusting the fronvrear door latch mechanism, checking the front doors for a bent door handle-to-latch rod and inspecting the
wiring harness for the security alarm switch for proper routing.
