Slowly close the door until the striker loop contacts the latch (See Figure 1). Mark the location where the rearward side of the latch rachet contacts
the striker loop. Open the door and measure the clearance as shown in Figure 1. The clearance should be from 8 to 10 mm. (5/16 to 3/8 in.). If the
proper clearance is not attained shim adjustment is required. The chart in Figure 1 has been provided to show the thickness of the various shim
combinations.
NOTE:
DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM SHIM THICKNESS SPECIFIED IN THE CHART. THE COMBINATION OF 1 GOLD AND 1 SILVER
SHIM IS THE MAXIMUM THICKNESS ALLOWED FOR PROPER THREAD ENGAGEMENT. DO NOT USE TWO GOLD SHIMS OR USE
MORE THAN TWO SHIMS IN COMBINATION.

Loosen the striker screws and add or subtract shims using the chart to obtain the correct latch to striker contact.

Align the striker height centering the striker in the latch opening as shown in Figure 2 and position it inboard or outboard to make the door flush,

Tighten the screws to 30 Nm (250 in.lbs.).
