Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair
1. Remove cylinder head cover, then bridge, pivot and rocker arms. Loosen bolts alternately one turn at a time to avoid damaging bridge assemblies.
2. Remove pushrods, then intake and exhaust manifolds.
3. Remove cylinder head as described under Cylinder Head Replacement @ Cylinder Head Assembly/ Service and Repair.

4. Working through pushrod openings, remove valve lifters using tool No. J-21884, or equivalent, Fig.9.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten all bolts to specifications.
