If the compressor will not cycle, continue with the following:
a.
Check the wiring to the switch by jumping the circuit across the wire terminals to see if the compressor will run.
CAUTION:
DO NOT RUN THE COMPRESSOR FOR MORE THAN 15 SECONDS OR DAMAGE TO THE COMPRESSOR MAY RESULT.
b.
If the compressor runs with the jumper in place, then check the level of refrigerant charge (R-134a) as outlined in the 1993 Grand
Cherokee Service Manual No. 81-370-2147.
C.
If the charge is at the required level, replace the clutch cycling switch.
