Throttle Body Whistle
NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 5.2L V8 ENGINE.
MODELS:
1993 (ZJ) Grand Cherokee/Grand Wagoneer
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Vehicle exhibits a high pitched whistling noise, coming from the engine compartment, during light acceleration at engine speeds between 1500 and 2000
RPM.
DIAGNOSIS:
Road test the vehicle. If the vehicle exhibits the noise, perform the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves the replacement of the throttle body.
1.
Using the procedures outlined in the Grand Cherokee/Grand Wagoneer service manual, replace the throttle body and install a new gasket using the
part numbers listed above.
2.
Road test the vehicle to verify the correction.
