The rear seat belt buckle for the center seating position may not be accessible when the right (passenger) side of the rear seat back is folded down in the
cargo stowage position. To correct this condition, the seat belt buckle assembly must be replaced.

Details of this service action are explained in the following sections.

Service Procedure Videotape

Dealer Notification & Vehicle List

Involved dealers: 
Each dealer to whom involved vehicles were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same street address) will receive a copy of this dealer notification
letter and a list of the involved vehicles by first class mail.

The Vehicle List is arranged in Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) sequence. Owners known to Chrysler are also listed. The lists are for dealer
reference in arranging for service of involved vehicles.

All other dealers: 
Each Jeep & Eagle dealer who does not receive a Vehicle List will receive a copy of this dealer notification letter by first class mail.

DIAL System Functions 53, 70 and VIP

All involved vehicles will be entered to DIAL System Function 70 and VIP at the time of notification mailing for dealer inquiry by VIN as needed.

A new DIAL function -- Function 53 -- has been developed to display only incomplete vehicle information for involved dealers by recall number. Part
number information and owners known to Chrysler are also listed. Involved vehicles will be removed from Function 53 within several days after dealer
submission of the repair claim. To use Function 53, type 53" at the ENTER FUNCTION prompt, then type ORD669" to view your dealer's involved
VIN list.

Parts

Important: 

No parts will be distributed initially to involved dealers. Dealers are requested to limit orders for replacement buckle assemblies to those parts
required for scheduled repairs.

Dealers should determine which parts package is required for each vehicle at the time appointments are scheduled to assure that the correct parts package
is available when the customer arrives. The appropriate buckle assembly for the vehicle to be serviced may be determined by:
