Brake Warning Indicator: Testing and Inspection
If the Upshift, Brake, Check Anti-lock & Check Engine Indicator are all inoperative, check for an open in IGN line to cluster connector terminal C12. If
C12 has battery voltage continue with diagnosis.
1. Check Brake Indicator as follows:
a. Jumper cluster connector terminal C4 to ground, lamp should light. If bulb satisfactory, check for open circuit between C5 and PCM pin 32. If
satisfactory replace PCM.
2. Check anti-lock indicator as follows:
a. Turn ignition switch to Run position, jumper instrument cluster connector terminal C3 to ground, lamp should light.
b. If satisfactory check for continuity between C3 and pin 53 of ABS module.
