Grand Cherokee 2WD V8-318 5.2L VIN Y MFI (1994)
Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove air induction tube.
2. Disconnect wire harness at combination valve top bracket, then disconnect connectors.
3. Disconnect pedal travel sensor harness connector and position harness aside, then disconnect pressure differential switch wires at valve terminal.
4. Disconnect brake hydraulic lines at combination valve, then remove bolt securing valve to master cylinder.
5. Remove combination valve from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque brake line adapters to 18 ft. lbs. and fittings to 15 ft. lbs.
b. Bleed brake system as described under Antilock Brake System/Service and Repair.
