5. Install and position valve adjusting gauge on mounting bolts and shaft. There should be no clearance between gauge and shaft and bolts. Ensure
gauge is seated on the shaft flat.
6. Install retainer in the lever, if necessary, then insert new bushing in retainer and lever.
7. Start bushing and lever on valve shaft, then press bushing and lever onto shaft using an installer, and a C-clamp and suitable size socket.
8. Remove adjusting gauge and bushing installation tool, then torque valve mounting bolts to 118 inch lbs. Install and torque lever attaching nut to
100 inch lbs.
9. Lower vehicle and road test.
