SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A drive line vibration may be felt and/or heard while driving with engine operating at approximately 2100 RPM on smooth road surfaces.
DIAGNOSIS:
The following is a list of some of the standard vibration diagnosis procedures outlined in the service manual. It is important that all of the basic
procedures for diagnosing vibration problems are performed prior to installing the parts listed below. Installation of the Repair Procedure parts is
intended to stiffen the drive line, eliminating a tendency for the engine/transmission/ transfer case to flex during operation. The installation of these parts
will in no way affect a vibration caused by an imbalance or out of round condition in a rotating component. Refer to the appropriate service manual for
these diagnostic procedures and specifications.
Check and correct tire pressures.
