Air Bag: Service and Repair
Driver Side Airbag Module Replacement
DRIVER AIR BAG MODULE, REPLACE
1. Disarm air bag as outlined under Air Bag System Disarming and Arming.

2. Remove air bag module attaching nuts from steering wheel back.
3. On 1994-95 models, lift air bag module, then spread external latching arms apart pry upward to unplug air bag module electrical connector.
4. On 1996 models, unplug air bag and horn switch connectors.
5. On all models, remove module.
6. Reverse proceed to install and tighten nuts to specifications.
