Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Upper Ball Joint Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Remove steering knuckle as outlined under Steering Knuckle Replacement @ Steering/ Steering Knuckle/ Service and Repair.

2. Position receiver tool No. J-34503-1, or equivalent, over ball joint stud and adapter tool No. J-34503-3, or equivalent, onto C-clamp as shown.
3. Tighten clamp and press ball joint from steering knuckle.
INSTALLATION
1. Place tool No. J-34503-4, or equivalent, over replacement ball joint and receiver tool No. J-34503-2, or equivalent, onto C-clamp. Position tool
against yoke shoulder, then tighten clamp and press ball joint into knuckle.
2. Install steering knuckle as outlined under Steering Knuckle Replacement @ Steering/ Steering Knuckle/ Service and Repair.
