Grand Cherokee 2WD V8-4.7L Flex Fuel (2008)
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) (1) from the liftgate outer panel. See: Lighting and Horns/Center Mounted Brake
Lamp/Service and Repair/Center High Mounted Stop Lamp - Removal.
3. Disconnect the rear washer supply hose from the barbed nipple (3) on the back of the rear washer nozzle.
4. From the back of the CHMSL housing, depress the two integral latch features (2) of the nozzle, and push the nozzle out through the face of the
lamp lens.

CAUTION: Take proper precautions to ensure there is no cosmetic damage done to the paint finish of the headlamp washer nozzle cover or the
front fascia during the following procedure.
1. Reach up behind the front fascia (1) to access and securely clamp the headlamp washer supply hose to prevent the contents of the washer reservoir
from draining during the following procedure.
2. Using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, carefully pry up an edge of the headlamp washer nozzle cover away from the front
fascia (1) far enough to grasp the cover and pull the telescopic nozzle (5) out to its fully extended position.
3. With the nozzle extended, unsnap the latch features on each side of the headlamp washer nozzle cover from the sides of the nozzle and remove the
cover. Then release the nozzle back to its retracted position.
4. Remove the two screws (2) that secure the headlamp washer nozzle mounting cup (4) to the nozzle mounting flange.
5. Pry outward on the two latch features (3) of the mounting cup to disengage them from the mounting flange of the nozzle.
