Door Lock Key Cylinder May Freeze And Not Turn In Left Front Door Exterior Handle
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the left front door exterior handle.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicle built prior to January 11, 2005 (MDH 0111XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
In freezing or below temperatures, the customer may notice that the left front door lock cylinder will not rotate within the exterior door handle. This may
prevent the customer from locking or unlocking the left front door from outside the vehicle using the door/ignition key in the lock cylinder.
When this condition is present, the doors locks can be operated as designed using the remote keyless entry (RKE) FOB, the interior door lock switches,
or interior lock knobs.
A new left front door handle has been designed with a recessed slot made into the handle which helps to prevent possible moisture accumulation within
the handle lock cylinder opening.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer experiences the above condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
