Head Rest Rattle

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Head rest may rattle while driving over rough roads.
DIAGNOSIS:
Road test the vehicle over rough roads. If the rattle is present, perform the repair procedure.

Sleeve
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves installing a plastic sleeve on the head rest support post.
1.
Remove the head rest by rotating the locking mechanism.
2.
Remove the two screws from the bottom of the head rest and remove the head rest support assembly from the head rest pad. Make note of the
direction that the support post detents are facing.
3.
Install the plastic sleeve as shown.
4.
Install the support assembly into the head rest pad and tighten the two screws.
5.
Install the headrest into the seat.
