Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1.
Unfasten caliper as previously described, leaving brake hose attached to caliper. Suspend caliper from suspension spring. Do not let caliper
hang by hydraulic line.
2.
Remove outboard brake pad from anchor plate while holding anti-rattle clip.
3.
Remove inboard brake pad and anti-rattle clip.
4.
Clean caliper interior using clean shop cloths. Do not use compressed air, as damage to dust boot may result.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install anti-rattle clip on trailing edge of anchor plate, ensuring split end of clip faces away from rotor.
2.
Install inboard, then the outboard pads while holding anti-rattle clip.
3.
Install caliper, refer to Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Disc Brake System/Brake Caliper/Service and Repair.
