Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair
Air Bag Control Module (ACM) Replacement
AIR BAG CONTROL (ACM), REPLACE
1. Disarm air bag as outlined under Air Bag System Disarming and Arming.

2. Remove center console as follows:
a. Remove screws from bottom of center console storage bin.
b. Remove transmission shift handle, parking brake and transmission shift bezels, then bezel bulbs.
c. Remove screws under transmission shift bezel.
d. Move transfer case and transmission shift levers rearward.
e. Lift console up and remove.
3. Disconnect ACM wiring.
4. Remove ACM screws and ACM.
5. Reverse procedure to install, ensuring ACM arrow points forward, and tighten screws to specifications.
