Rear Seat Belt Access With Seat Back Folded

MODELS:

(ZJ) Grand Cherokee/Grand Wagoneer

DISCUSSION:

The center rear seat belt may be difficult to access with the 1/3 section of the rear seat back folded down. A seat belt buckle assembly has been released
with a third buckle. This will allow access to the buckle with the seat back folded down.

PARTS REQUIRED:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves the installation of a revised seat belt buckle assembly.

1.

Fold the rear seat forward to gain access to the double buckle assembly.

2.

Remove the buckle assembly.

3.

Install the new buckle assembly and tighten the anchor bolts to 37 N-m (27 ft.lbs.).

Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
