Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Power Steering Pump - Removal
3.0L DIESEL
1. Remove the engine top cover.
2. Remove the battery See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery - Removal.
3. Remove the battery tray See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Tray/Service and Repair/Battery Tray - Removal.
4. Remove the inner cooler muffler mounting bolts.
5. Remove the drive belt See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and
Repair/Accessory Drive Belt - Removal.
6. Siphon the power steering system.
7. Remove the pressure line at the pump.
8. Remove the supply line at the pump.
9. Remove the pump mounting bolts.
10. Remove the pump (1) from the vehicle.
11. Transfer the brackets (2) if necessary.
