Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Lower Ball Joint Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Remove steering knuckle as outlined under Steering Knuckle Replacement @ Steering/ Steering Knuckle/ Service and Repair.

2. Position receiver tool No. J-34503-1, or equivalent, over top part of ball joint and adapter tool No. J-34503-3, or equivalent, onto C-clamp as
shown.
3. Tighten clamp and press ball joint from steering knuckle.
INSTALLATION
1. Place tool No. J-34503-5, or equivalent, over replacement ball joint and receiver tool No. J-34503-12, or equivalent, onto C-clamp.
2. Position tool against yoke shoulder, then tighten clamp and press ball joint into knuckle.
3. Install steering knuckle as described under Steering Knuckle Replacement @ Steering/ Steering Knuckle/ Service and Repair.
