Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove the center console.
2. Have an assistant pry down the lock out spring through the hole in the side of the park brake lever with a small screwdriver. Then slowly release
the front cable.
NOTE: There should be slack in the cable if the lock out spring is engaged.
3. Disconnect the parking brake switch wiring connector.
4. Disengage the front cable end from the parking brake lever.
5. Compress the cable retainer with a 13 mm wrench and remove the cable from the parking brake lever bracket.
