Raise the front wheels off the ground. With the engine off, slowly turn the steering wheel from stop to stop 20 times to purge the air from the
new steering gear. Recheck the power steering fluid level and adjust the fluid level as required.

Lower the front wheels onto the ground, start the engine and turn the steering wheel slowly from stop to stop. Turn off the engine and check
the power steering fluid level and adjust the fluid level as required.
NOTE:
If the power steering fluid in the reservoir is extremely foamy or milky, allow the vehicle to stand a few minutes and recheck the fluid level.

Check the power steering fittings to insure that there are no leaks.
