If the piston can be freely removed, next use a 12 mm tube nut wrench to disconnect the secondary line from the front outboard port on
the actuator, (Figure 18). Gently pull the tube nut and line clear of the port without bending the line.

Remove the hydraulic unit from the vise and place the unit with the studs down on a bench on top of a lint free cloth, (Figure 18).

Place a cloth over the three modulator outlet ports of the unit (Figure 18).
While holding the cloth in place, apply pressure from a regulated air nozzle to the secondary outlet port at the front of the actuator to
expel the secondary piston assembly from the bore onto the cloth on the bench.
14.
Place the hydraulic unit back into the vise and clamp the unit securely.
15.
Place the piston assemblies in the box from the supplied replacement parts and set them aside for parts return.

1.
Cut the large tie wrap connecting the reservoir to the actuator housing, if present.
2.
Loosen the hose clamp at the front of the modulator (Figure 19) and disconnect the modulator return hose from the modulator.
