Retrieve the TCM part number. With the StarSCAN on the "Home" screen, follow the procedure below:
a.
Select "ECU View"
b.
Touch the screen to highlight "TCM" in the list of modules.
c.
Select "More Options".
d.
Select "TCM Flash".
e.
Verify the "Part Number" (displayed at the end of the "Resident flash file for" statement) has been updated to the new part number. If it has
updated, then the flash has been completed successfully.

Clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) as follows:
a.
From the "Home" screen select "System View".
b.
Select "All DTCs".
c.
Press "Clear All Stored DTCs" if there are any DTCs shown on the list.
NOTE:
Due to the PCM/TCM programming procedure, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may be set in other modules (ABS, BCM, MIC, WCM, etc.)
within the vehicle, if so equipped. Some DTC's may cause the MIL to illuminate.

Remove the battery charger and the StarSCAN unit from the vehicle.
17.
Perform the TCM "Quicklearn" procedure as follows:
a.
Select "Back".
b.
Select "Misc Functions"
c.
Select "Quicklearn".
d.
Follow the screen prompts.
18.
Install the Authorized Modifications label as follows:
a.
Type or print (with a ballpoint pen) the recall number, dealer code and date on the Authorized Modifications Label (Figure 16).
b.
Attach the label near the VECI label and then close the hood.
E. Reprogram ECM/TCM For 2005 MY Vehicles
NOTE:
Whenever a module is reprogrammed, the software in the DRBIII(R); must be programmed with revision level 63.10 or later. If this flash process is
interrupted or aborted, the flash process must be repeated.
1.
Connect the DRBIII to the vehicle.
2.
Remove any old flash files from the DRBIII memory. To clear the memory from the MAIN MENU:
