Verify for flushness of the flip-up glass to the swing gate outer panel. This measurement is taken immediately next to the latch hand pad (Fig. 1).
Hold the straight edge flush against the glass next to the hand pad (not on the hand pad). Record the gap/space between the straight edge and the
swing gate outer vertical panel.
NOTE:
THE FLUSH SPECIFICATION FOR THE FLIP-UP GLASS TO THE SWING GATE OUTER PANEL IS 0 MM (FLUSH) TO 2 MM
OVERFLUSH.

If the flip-up glass is not within flush specification to the swing gate, then the flip-up glass latch needs to be adjusted.
a.
Loosen the two latch attaching fasteners and move the latch inboard or outboard in small increments until the desired flushness is achieved.
Tighten the fasteners to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).

Verify correct flip-up glass closing efforts. Verify correct closing and opening operation of the flip-up glass.
If the flip-up glass latch has been adjusted as far outboard (rearward) as is possible, and the flip-up glass is still underflush, then the swing gate inner
panel has been deformed and requires repair.
REPAIR OF THE SWING GATE - LATCH MOUNTING SURFACE:
The flip-up glass latch mounting surface can be deformed when excessive effort is used to close the glass while the latch is already in the closed (latched)
position. When this occurs the swing gate inner panel will deform along the inboard edge of the flip-up glass latch assembly.

Remove the flip-up glass latch attaching fasteners and remove the latch from the two mounting studs.
