Inspect for the amount of deformation at the latch mounting surface (Fig. 2).

Remove any deformation in the latch mounting surface with a small slide hammer and hook attachment. Use the two alignment holes in the latch
mounting surface to obtain panel access. Use care not to damage the wiper motor located under the alignment holes.
4.
Install the flip-up glass latch and fasteners.
5.
Adjust the flip-up glass latch using the above procedure to obtain proper closing efforts.
6.
Paint touch-up as is necessary.
