Remove the two bolts securing the rear seat back latch/lock mechanism to the rear seat back frame (Fig. 1).

Remove the rear seat back bumper plate from the latch/lock mechanism.
5.
Install the new bumper plate, p/n 05096262M.
6.
Tighten the latch/lock attaching bolts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
7.
Reposition the seat material and install the plastic trim panel to the seat back.
8.
Make sure the left rear seat back latch/lock is in its open position.
9.
Latch and unlatch the left rear seat back several times to verify that it operates correctly.
