Install a low friction sleeve over the parking brake cable housing and slide the sleeve along the cable housing and through the loop of one of the
four cable guides. Position the low friction sleeve along the parking cable so that it is centered in the cable guide loop. (Fig. 1).

Secure each end of the low friction sleeve to the parking brake cable, with a black plastic tie wrap.

5.

Perform steps 4 and 5 for the remaining three (3) sleeves and their respective cable guides.

NOTE:

THOUGH THE SQUEAK-LIKE SOUND MAY BE DUE TO ONE CABLE GUIDE LOOP, MAKE SURE ALL FOUR LOW FRICTION
SLEEVES ARE INSTALLED TO PREVENT FUTURE OCCURRENCE OF THIS CONDITION.

6.

Lower the vehicle.

7.

Verify that the parking brake operates properly.
