knee blocker and then pry the lower edge of the knee blocker rearward to release the lower clips. Next, disengage the upper clips and then remove
the knee blocker assembly.

Remove the four (4) torx head screws that attach the knee blocker backing plate to the trim panel (Figure 2).

Remove and discard the knee blocker backing plate.

Install the new knee blocker backing plate onto the trim panel. Tighten the attaching screws to 60 in-lbs (7 N.m).

Locate the flat areas of the instrument panel support just inboard of the upper knee blocker clips. Mark a center point on the left and right sides of
the instrument panel support 14.8-mm (9/16") up from the bottom edge (Figure 3). Mark the left side 27.6-mm (1-1/16") from the inner edge of the
flat area. Mark the right side 42.4-mm (1-11/16") from the inner edge of the flat area.
6.
Inspect the area behind the instrument panel supports to ensure that there are no electrical harnesses near the area. Reposition the harness(s) if
necessary.
7.
Drill 1/8" pilot holes at the two locations marked in Step 5.
