EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Drain the fuel tank of fuel.
2.
Carefully remove the four steel rivets used to secure the two rearward cargo holdown clamps in place. Remove the lower swing gate scuff plate.
Fold the carpet forward to allow access to the fuel pump module access plate.
3.
Remove the four (4) fuel pump access plate attaching nuts.
4.
While applying heat from a heat gun, CAREFULLY pry up the fuel pump module access plate. TAKE CARE NOT TO BEND THE ACCESS
PLATE.
5.
Verify that the fuel pressure in the fuel system has been released.
6.
Disconnect from the upper section (flange) of the fuel pump module the connections to the electrical harness, both fuel pressure lines, and the
clamp and hose to the ORVR system (Fig. 1).
7.
Remove the fuel pump module flange locking ring and raise the fuel pump module flange from the fuel tank.
8.
Disconnect, from the in-tank side of the fuel pump module flange, the electrical connector for the in-tank fuel module, the fuel supply line
connector, and the fuel return line I pressure regulator connector.
9.
Replace the fuel pump module flange sealing ring.
