Door Switch: Testing and Inspection
Refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, details of
wire harness routing and retention, connector pin-out information and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
1. Disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector for the hood ajar switch from the switch connector receptacle.
2. Check for continuity between the two terminals in the connector receptacle of the hood ajar switch. There should be continuity with the switch
plunger extended, and no continuity with the switch plunger depressed. If not OK, replace the faulty hood ajar switch.
